Meeting Notes

Kent Faerber sent the following notes on our meeting on June 28:

Thanks to all of you for attending the meeting last Saturday or agreeing to help in whatever fashion. We are off to a good start, but, sad to say, the Mary I girls (women?) are way out ahead of us. But, I can remember that the News was never put to bed before midnight.

We seem to be zeroing in on the following schedule:

Thursday, April 30, 2009
Lunch with MI'59 at home of Head of School (courtesy of school)
Supper - all-class CDS Barbeque with grand entry by class, etc., etc. (courtesy of school)

Friday, May 1, 2009
Lunch - to be investigated
Supper - at someone's home, spouses/partners invited

Saturday, May 2, 2009
9:30 - 3:00 - Program (talks, panels, performances, whatever show and tell displays passions of classmates) - at school
12 Noon - Box lunch at school
Supper - at Deer Creek Club if available, spouses/partners invited

Sunday, May 3, 2009
Concluding brunch at someone's home, spouses/partners invited

We can, of course, adjust all these arrangements, but the time is fast approaching when we must set it firmly.

I will investigate the possibility of paying for all this out of the class gift, so cost to attendees can be kept low if necessary.

NEXT MEETING: 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2009

Missing Classmate

Can anyone confirm the death of Warren Greaves, as indicated in the Country Day 1959 Class Roster dated February 2008?

When I searched for information about the circumstances I came across the following:

http://namesdatabase.com/people/GREAVES/WARREN/26956903

Following the reference to Leah Greaves on that page, I found the following:

http://www.spencerdailyreporter.com/story/1199559.html

Seeing the picture of Leah Greaves left no doubt in my mind that she is the daughter of Warren.

Since there was no mention of the death of her father in the announcement, or a reference to "deceased", and the date of the announcement was Thursday, April 19, 2007, (only a little more than a year ago), I thought that there might be a mistake regarding Warren's death, or at least a recent obituary somewhere in the country.

Class of 1959

Hello to all members of the Codasco class of '59. I have registered this site prior to our 50th reunion so there will be a place where we can communicate, share memories and plan our festivities. Tucker, Faerber, Rogers and I have met/communicated and begun the planning process.

If we have your address you should have received a letter from Faerber and, I hope, responded to it. Please register and visit this site regularly. If it works the way it's supposed to it will be a valuable resource.
